Swim a thon tomorrow.

Hi Everyone,

We had several questions about the Swim a thon tomorrow morning.

What is a Swim a thon:  The swimmers are challenged to swim as many laps as they can during their practice time.  The coaches will be at the end of each lane with counting sheets that the swimmers can keep for a scrapbook if they choose.
*Last year it was amazing for the swimmers and parents to see how many laps our swimmers were able to swim! :)

How does sponsorship work:  People who would like to sponsor your swimmer can either sponsor them per lap (ie: $1.00 per lap that they swim) or give a donation.

There is a pledge sheet from the Nashville Dolphins attached to this email if you choose to print it off.

You can also donate directly to the Nashville Dolphins using this link.  (Make sure you note that you are with the Westhaven Swim Team.)

We will have a money envelope at the pool tomorrow to collect any cash or check donations.

When should my swimmer arrive:  Your swimmer will swim their laps during their normal practice time.  If they want to come early or stay late to support other teammates they are welcome to stay.  ** We will have music and it should be a fun, festive environment :)

Nashville Dolphins Participants:  We have a few Nashville Dolphins who will be participating in the Swim a thon from 11:00am-12:00pm, in case anyone would like to stay to support them.

Refreshments:  High Brow will be providing refreshments for all of our families for a donation to the Nashville Dolphins.

Prizes:

Westhaven Swim Team will give a prize to the boy and girl in each age group who swims the most laps.

Nashville Dolphins will give a prize to the top 3 swimmers from each team in the league who raise the most money.

If there are any other questions that I have not answered, please feel free to email me.  See you at the pool!

Go Blue Herons.
